In 2020, our fifth year of existence, The Sick of the Fringe formed a strategic partnership with the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society. Our shared objective in the partnership being to enhance our ambitions to support the wellbeing of artists coming to the Fringe by tackling issues relating to costs, both financially and emotionally every step of the way.

This work has fed into the development of the Edinburgh Fringe Society’s 6 new strategic goals, launched in 2022, their 75th year.

What does Partnership mean to us?

Set before COVID-19 but now even more important than ever!

* A relationship made of mutual respect and a shared desire to keep one another surviving and thriving.

* Honesty in communication including critique and uncomfortable conversations.

* A desire to make each other better.

* A desire to see each other more in person and to not let ‘busy-ness’ or overloaded schedules keep us from centering care.

* A desire to open our partnership group to allies and outsiders with shared values.
