SOMETHING TO AIM FOR

CONNECTING ARTS, HEALTH AND SOCIAL CHANGE

Something To Aim For (STAF) is a new charity set up to drive the onward ambitions of The Sick of the Fringe and associated strategies, developed with and for artists, audiences and national partner organisations.

STAF charts, supports and promotes performance and other related art forms which are focused on health, disability and intersectionality, championing diverse, critical voices and ideas.

We are interested in supporting ideas from the ‘fringes’ which exist across the arts and society in general. Through Something To Aim For we support the development of critical voices finding ways for these to infiltrate ‘mainstream’ conversations. Building networks, collaborations and key partnerships across sectors to underpin our work.

OUR WORK WITH ARTISTS

As part of our work we identify and support step changes in artists careers, specifically those interested in reaching new and diverse audiences and tackling difficult and urgent issues, opening up new avenues for collaboration and support. This has resulted in award winning work, high profile commissions, artist fellowships and international touring. Artists currently supported in their strategic development include:
